There will be an exhibition displaying a range of health information, within the Birmingham Treatment Centre at City Hospital. Exhibitions will include : PALS, Nutrition, Stroke, Hospital from Home Scheme, Cancer Services, Research Unit, Sickle Cell Services and Speech and Language Therapy. We will also be working in partnership with Health Exchange which is a social enterprise which is dedicated to the promotion of health and wellbeing for everyone, with the aim of reducing health inequalities. Worcestershire:
Worcestershire is focussing on the theme of childhood obesity. The Computer bus is going to 3 venues in the county to encourage families to sign up and register with the Change4Life website. By registering they will receive a free personalised action plan as well as regular handy tips for making changes throughout the year. Health librarians will also be on hand to guide and advise adults wishing to access quality information online. The FRESH team which is celebrating its first year of supporting families with children aged 7 – 13 who are above a healthy weight to lead a healthier lifestyle will also be the supporting events. In addition to the bus the local NHS Health Trainers will be on hand to offer parents and guardians free Body Mass Index (BMI) measurements as well information on the local services available to help them with a healthier lifestyle.

Thursday 7th July 10am – 2pm - Rubery Library will be holding health checks for men and women. Health trainers will be doing FREE BMI checks and helping give advice on losing weight, stopping smoking, alcohol consumption and getting fitter. Please drop in and meet your local health trainers.
