Queen’s Hospital Maternity Unit, Burton upon Trent

The maternity unit at Queen’s Hospital in Burton upon Trent is part of Burton Hospitals NHS Trust. It is an obstetric-led unit, with ten consultants providing antenatal care for women who are assessed as having risk factors for their pregnancy and birth. 

The care of these women is individualised to meet their needs and may involve a number of visits to the hospital, with other visits taking place in the community with their own community midwife.

Women who have been assessed as being low risk will have their care led by midwives, with the majority of care provided by their community midwife. A home birth service is also available.

The Samuel Johnson midwife-led unit based in Lichfield is also available.
