The maternity service cares for all women in Nuneaton and for those from outside of the area who choose to book at George Eliot.

The unit is a consultant-led service with full obstetric provision on site, which means the unit has a consultant obstetrician available at all times. Midwife-led care is offered to women whose pregnancies are straightforward. In these cases, women see a midwife for most appointments. Mums-to-be with a complicated pregnancy have their care shared between a doctor and a midwife.
